Who I Am
I picked Computers as my profession early. When I was a kid I took my PC to a PC tech at a local store where he tried to charge me $80 for a bios issue.
Computers became my passion soon afterwards, I'd be damned if I was going to pay someone $80 bucks for something I knew would require honest consultation. I was already learning Basic Programming at this early age (12) and had had a computer before windows and Dos were even around. I was still learning pretty much at this age, but I fixed that bios issue and learned to format my computer a couple of times.
After I finished my bout in the Corps doing networking, I tried a gig with a local computer store, where I was the guy charging people $80 for a bios issue. I was actually sick of it, and to make matters worse, I wasn't even getting paid that well. I learned that working for other computer companies was only going to result in the end customer being overcharged.
I remembered that my father worked on the side as a mechanic and he always charged far lower than the commercial shops. I figured I could run my business in a similar fashion.
My mission statement is: "To be the guy who doesn't care about milking the customer because I have my own day job. To help the customer avoid the overhead of dealing with a retail store. Resulting in future return work for myself."
Rates
On-site (hourly)
$60 - 1st hour, $40 within Long Beach (drop off rates do not apply)
$30 - 2nd+ hour
Drop-off/Pick-up (Flat Rate)
$60
$10 off (per trip, max of 2) if end user drops off/picks up machine.
